Discover the full Harmonized System Nomenclature 2022.

As of 1 January 2022, the 7th edition of the Harmonized System (HS) Nomenclature fully replaces the 2017 edition worldwide for the uniform classification of goods. This 2022 edition introduces significant changes with more than 350 new entries covering a wide range of commodities.

To reflect changing practices, greater visibility is brought to high profile products streams such as electrical and electronic waste. Whereas other products are newly introduced, drones and edible insects, for instance.

The HS serves as the basis for Customs tariffs in 98% of world trade and the compilation of international trade statistics in 211 economies. Its Nomenclature allows the classification of more than 5,000 groups of commodities, identified by a six-digit code and classified according to a legal and logical structure. Over the last 35 years, this code has become a universal customs language for the classification of goods and is at the foundation of National tariffs around the world.
