The full Harmonized System Nomenclature 2022 is now available in XML and CSV formats for easy implementation into websites or applications.
As of 1 January 2022, the 7th edition of the Harmonized System (HS) Nomenclature replaces the 2017 edition worldwide for the uniform classification of goods. This 2022 edition introduces significant changes compared to its previous edition with more than 350 new entries covering a wide range of goods.
The HS serves as the basis for Customs tariffs and for the compilation of international trade statistics in 211 economies. Its Nomenclature allows the classification of more than 5,000 groups of goods, identified by a six-digit code and classified according to a legal and logical structure. Over the last 35 years, this code has become a universal customs language for classifying the goods.
Once purchased, the zip file containing the Nomenclature in XML and CSV (in English and French) will be available with the necessary documentation under “my downloadable products” menu.
